Welcome to the family Gibson
We welcomed our new baby boy to the family on December 19th, 2010 early on a Sunday morning. We arrived at the hospital Saturday night between 10:30 and 11:00 PM... it was so late, there was no one to even check us in, we just went right up to delivery. Since it was the middle of the night, it was quiet, peaceful, and we were the only ones there. We got a lot of attention, and everyone helping us took their time and did a good job. Around 3 in the morning the nurse said she expected us to have a baby within the hour, fifteen minutes later she came back and we got the ball rolling, and she went to wake up my doctor. Five or six pushes later and we welcomed a life into the world; 3:43 AM. Gibson Ski Hill was 6 pounds 14.7 ounces and 18 1/2 inches long.He came out so darling and perfect. We named him for my Grandma McFarland whose maiden name was Gibson. His Dad graciously shared his middle name with his second son; Ski (which I couldn't get him to agree on until we were driving to the hospital).
We are so grateful for our new addition, and love him so absolutely already. We have had lots of support from all of our family that we really appreciate. Zack's Mom and family watched Nick for us for four days, and brought him to the hospital to meet his little brother. Thanks also to the neighbors for bringing meals. My parents will be here to visit in January, and we look forward to seeing them as well. The whole experience went extremely well for us, thanks to everyone who helped in any small way. :)
